PRESS RELEASE: Assin Foundation Announces New Board Appointments

The Assin Foundation headerAccra, Ghana – March 31, 2025The Assin Foundation held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Ghana yesterday, announcing its next goals and welcoming new members to its Board and executive team. 

The meeting was a success, with key decisions made regarding the organization’s governance and future directions. 

During the AGM, the Foundation announced the appointment of new members to its Board of Directors. 

The Board of Directors includes; Fr. Alexander Bedekuru (newly appointed) Mr. Joseph Eghan, (newly appointed) Mr. Joseph Oduro Mensah, (newly appointed) Mr. David Mullins, Mr. Henry Brandford Sam, (newly appointed) who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the board. 

Additionally, the Foundation adopted new amendments to the Memorandum and Articles of Association to ensure compliance with current company laws. This update is part of the organization’s commitment to maintaining high standards of governance and transparency.

About The Assin Foundation 

The Assin Foundation, established in 2016 by Mr. David Mullins (also known as Nana Atwere Yaw Adaenu II), is a non-governmental, not-for-profit social enterprise incorporated in January 2017 (UK) and June 2019 in Ghana’s Central Region. Its mission is to promote education, healthcare, and sustainable development in rural communities, with a specific focus on Assin Praso. The foundation aims to build a heritage and cultural center, housing the Assin Museum, an office for ancestral research, a tourism information center, and hosting cultural events and festivals (The Assin Foundation). This aligns with its goal to raise awareness of Ghana, attract tourism, and foster development, particularly for the Assin community.

  1. I read the Text, which i find clear. Good to hear that the Board Meeting went well. I assume this includes the newly appointed Board members. I hope that they are active.
